About Rachel

I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and yoga teacher (registered with the Yoga Alliance) based in Wandsworth and Bracklesham Bay. I teach daily yoga classes and run regular yoga retreats in both locations.

I have a Licentiate in Acupuncture and a 1st Class BSc Honours degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.

I keep up to date with current research and new techniques through a commitment to Continuing Professional Development, and am a Member of the British Acupuncture Council – the main regulatory body of the acupuncture profession.

My acupuncture practice integrates two styles of acupuncture – Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I am a long term advocate of the benefits of Chinese Medicine to treat a wide range of conditions (such as stress, insomnia, anxiety, muscular pain, sciatica, headaches, arthritis, gynaecological, obstretics and fertility) as well as to maintain general health and wellbeing. I draw from the traditions of Chinese Medicine and Yoga and use a variety of techniques to tailor treatment to the individual patient. My treatment is holistic.

As well as needling and when appropriate, I also offer the following traditional therapies as part of my acupuncture treatment (at no extra cost):

  • Cupping Therapy

  • Moxibustion

  • Gua Sha

“I saw Rachel for acupuncture for 6 months to help relieve hip and back problems caused by hip dysplasia. She was great! She really helped by targeting specific areas of pain but also improved my all round wellness and energy levels. Her acupuncture and yoga knowledge really compliment each other. I always left feeing so much better.“

Rachel’s knowledge is immense. Both through yoga and myofascial release my body has turned around post major hip and leg surgery to be the best it has been in a very long time. I can’t recommend Rachel enough, not only for her extensive knowledge but also as an incredible caring, kind and patient professional.”

Rachel’s weekend yoga retreat was an utter delight. The practices in her beautiful studio were a wonderful balance of the challenging, the nourishing and the blissfully chilled out. The incredible location meant that spare time could be spent walking by the sea or swimming in the sea. Everything was set up for maximum comfort and the food was plentiful and delicious. I came away feeling calm and rebalanced! I can’t wait for the next one.”
